The Carrefour Foundation supports the French Paralympic Sports Committee by implementing the ESMS & Clubs project. This project connects Medical-Social Institutes with Sports Clubs, enabling young people and adults with disabilities to be welcomed into 75 sports centers across the country.
With the support of the Carrefour Foundation, Sport dans la Ville organizes "Olympic Days" on thirty Saturdays, bringing together young people, families, and partners from priority neighborhoods for Olympic games across the country. Additionally, a "National Olympic Tour" held in the spring of 2024 brought the Olympic and Paralympic Games experience to young people from priority neighborhoods.
The Carrefour Foundation funds the purchase of carbon running blades for children and adults who have undergone amputations, enabling them to participate in sports. A loan bank is set up for children, and permanent blades are funded for adults who have reached their full height.
APF France handicap, with the support of Carrefour, is recruiting 300 volunteers with disabilities to assist with the 2024 Olympic Games. These volunteers will help support athletes, welcome the public, and serve as guides, making the event more inclusive.
The Carrefour Foundation enables its employees to support associations that promote the inclusion of people with disabilities through sports. A fund of €100,000 will be distributed over a two-month voting period among six associations selected by employees: Comme les Autres, Les Enfants de la Balle, Upsilon, L’Avi Sourire, Génération Avant Garde, and Paragolf at the Maisons-Laffitte Golf Club.
