The project involves the training and development of 100 community organic gardens in schools in eight Argentine provinces. Participating schools will receive comprehensive virtual training consisting of four two-hour meetings. The training will be both theoretical and practical and will cover topics such as organic gardening techniques, soil management, composting, seed selection, orchard design, planning and maintenance. The course will provide institutions with the knowledge and skills needed to create and manage organic gardens.
The gardens will be planted with seasonal, aromatic and floral vegetables, which will provide safe, high-quality food for the 5,000 children affected by this program. To ensure the ongoing success of the gardens, complete kits including equipment, supplies and manuals will be provided to the institutions. Additionally, virtual technical support will be available over a six-month period to provide advice and assistance.
